Most mayors in Cebu stay with the Liberal Party (LP), and this is the thing that allies of presidential hopeful Manuel "Mar" Roxas II believe will make him the most voted Presidential aspirant in Cebu.

"We trust the mayors can deliver for Mar," said legal counselor Ramil Abing, official partner of Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III, commonplace director of the LP.

At the expense of losing some original associates, the LP has acknowledged the backing of gatherings such as Alayon in the area's first region, drove by previous congressman and Talisay City mayoral competitor Eduardo Gullas.

Be that as it may, Roxas' supporters say that the LP isn't simply depending on their partners among incumbent authorities in the towns and urban communities.

The majority of the nearby volunteers for President Benigno Aquino III in the 2010 elections – a gathering that included legal advisors, instructors and entrepreneurs – are presently related to the Cebu Volunteers for Mar and Leni (CMVL).

In their campaign rallies so far in the urban areas of Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, and Toledo, and in the towns of Daanbantayan and Dumanug, Roxas and his VP candidate, Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo, have underlined progression as their fundamental guarantee.

Mayor Valdemar Chiong of Naga City said that regardless of reactions that monetary development has not achieved the grassroots, he anticipates that Roxas will win in the provinces' first region due to the money exchange program (known as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) and the extension of medical coverage scope under PhilHealth.

Abing said that the LP is trusting Roxas' review evaluations will enhance with the assistance of persuasive allies like Gullas in the principal locale; the Caminero and Gica factions in the second region; the Yapha and Sanchez supporters in the third; the Martinezes in the fourth region; the Cortes, Quisumbing, and Alegado camps in the sixth area; and the Calderons in the new seventh region.

Likewise united with Roxas in Cebu are the Radazas of Lapu-Lapu City and the Osmeñas of Cebu City.

Roxas was tied with Binay, with 20% of respondents each, in the March 1 to 6 study of Pulse Asia. Still in the number one spot was Senator Grace Poe, with 28%, trailed by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, with 24%.

Despite the fact that Roxas has not bested the survey polls, his wife, telecaster Korina Sanchez, said that he remains an imposing competitor on account of a few elements: President Benigno Aquino III's underwriting and bolster; his accomplishments and reputation; his opportunity from claims of defilement; and the LP's hardware from Malacañang down to the barangays.
