Presidential hopeful Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte pummeled his opponent Manuel "Mar" Roxas II as a "bombastic pioneer" amid the second presidential verbal confrontation here on Sunday.

Duterte and Roxas got in a warmed trade over the rising criminality and illegal drugs in the nation.

Duterte was asked how he would end criminality in the nation inside of the initial six months on the off chance that he would be chosen president in the upcoming May elections, referring to the high culpability rate in Davao City in 2010.

“I will do it, just like what I did to Davao,” mayor said.

The mayor clarified that the high irregularity rate in Davao incorporates hostile to smoking and urinating infringement and not just about prominent hoodlums.

Be that as it may, Roxas, referring to a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) report, said towns in Davao City have been swarmed with unlawful drugs.

Roxas prior said that Duterte's case that Davao City is protected was a "myth."

Duterte then hit back at Roxas, saying the last as the previous Interior secretary had control over the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Besides, Roxas refered to his achievement as an Interior secretary, refering to the police have captured medications and offenders amid his spell as a bureau secretary.

“Yes, inaresto mo pero anong ginawa ninyo?” Duterte asked.
“You are claiming credit that is not yours. You are always a pretentious leader,” he said.

But Roxas hit back at the mayor’s remarks. “Ang totoo ay nahuli na eh, nahuli ‘yan eh at patuloy ang ating laban sa droga. Hindi ‘yan pagiging pretentious. Nangyari ‘yan, nasa diyaryo ‘yan,“ he said.

“This administration allowed shabu to be cooked inside prison. Is that performance?” he said. “Wala talaga ‘yang alam,” he added.
