Liberal Party mayor in Talisay City endorses Duterte for President

In the midst of reports about Liberal mayors declining to bolster party bet Mar Roxas, Mayor Johnny delos Reyes is the first to support another presidential hopeful.

Re-electionist Mayor Johnny delos Reyes of Talisay City, the fourth most crowded city in Metro Cebu, supported presidential hopeful Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, March 21, making him the first Liberal Party (LP) mayor to transparently garbage its standard-bearer. 

De los Reyes said the nation needs a leader like Duterte who is tough on debasement such as corruption, illegal drugs, and wrongdoing. 

Talisay is home to no less than 120,000 enrolled voters.

There have been reports about LP leaders declining to bolster LP presidential aspirant Manuel Roxas II, however De Los Reyes is the first to move into the open. Toward the beginning of March, he said that he was peering toward another candidate, and that is Duterte.
