Notwithstanding hosting the way to toss a get-together party, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte won't have a pretentious festival to stamp his 71st birthday on March 28.
Despite what might be expected, the mayor's trusted associate said he wants to celebrate his natal day by getting to be "invisible."
“Mawala man na sya ug usa ka adlaw (he usually disappears for one day),” said Christopher “Bong” Go.
By vanish, Go implied that the mayor will hie off to the House of Hope, an impermanent sanctuary for the kids from all over Mindanao who are being taken care of at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC), in the past known as the Davao Regional Hospital.
Duterte has made it a propensity to visit the extraordinary living arrangement for cancer-stricken children on his birthday and on other exceptional events, for example, Christmas Day.
On his visits, the tough talking Duterte brings toys for the young men and dolls for the young ladies, which he would pick by and by from stores in Davao City.
Dr. Mae Dolendo, leader of the House of Hope, said Duterte would even demonstrate to the cancer-stricken young men generally accepted methods to work the toys.
"He is similar to a father to every one of them. He would cry when a kid dies yet he returns to celebrate with them the Survivor's Day," she said.
Survivor's Day is the day when youngsters who survived cancer would return to the House of Hope and give motivation to the next wiped out kids, a considerable lot of whom have their days numbered.
Since getting to be OIC Vice Mayor and later Mayor of Davao City in 1986, Duterte has disregarded birthday presents from agents liking to be with his gang and going by his most loved philanthropies.
