The Crowd Booed Jojo Binay at Sinulog Festival

Sinulog Festival is an annual religious celebration of Cebuanos honoring Sto. Niño. The task to welcome the fiesta was given to Vice President Jejomay Binay however, the surmise of Binay that people would show warm hospitality to him did not happen.

The crowd in Cebu City Sports Center with an estimate number of ten thousand attendees catcalled Binay after he was introduced by Mayor Mike Rama to give his opening remarks on Sunday.

He immediately cut his short speech by saying “Maayong buntag sa inyong tanan (Good morning everyone). Viva Pit Senyor!” because of the booing of the audiences.
