Road Traffic and Detours In Lieu of the Black Nazarene Feast 2016

If there is an event that is being unfailingly attended by millions of people in the Philippines annually, that must be the Feast of the Black Nazarene. Tomorrow, 9th of January 2016, after a long and deliberate preparation, the much-awaited happening will betide where millions of staunch Catholic devotees from all over the Philippines, and even from other countries, are expected to take part on this religious activity. Make sure to get yourself ready as you step out of your home and pursue whatever errands it may be by anticipating tomorrow's road traffic through this road closure and detours advisory.

Start: 12 midnight
Stretch of McArthur Bridge, Jones Bridge and Quezon Bridge

Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak Drive to TM Kalaw Street

Both lane of Quezon Boulevard (Quiapo) will be closed to traffic, from Andalucia, Fugoso and Espana/P. Campa for southbound and from Taft Avenue for northbound 

Alternate Routes for January 9 

Start: 12 midnight
All vehicles coming from the northern part of Manila intending to utilize the stretch of Bonifacio Drive southbound (Manila Hotel and other offices at Port area) shall turn right Roberto S. Oca Street, left Delgado, left Bonifacio Drive, right A. Soriano to Magallanes Drive, right to P. Burgos, go straight to Lagusnilad to Taft Avenue. Likewise, other vehicles for southbound shall turn left A. Soriano to point of destination

All vehicles using Taft Avenue northbound shall turn right A. Villegas (Arroceros) right Quezon Boulevard

All vehicles coming from southern part of Manila intending to utilize the northbound of Roxas Boulevard from TM Kalaw to P. Burgos shall turn right to TM Kalaw

Vehicles coming from Quezon City using the stretch of Espana shall turn right to P. Campa left to Andalucia, right to Fugoso, right to T. Mapua to point of destination

Vehicles coming from España intending to proceed to South Pier Zone shall turn left to Nicanor Reyes, right to Recto straight to JAS, left to Reina Regente take Jones Bridge to point of destination.

Vehicles coming from Divisoria intending to Utilize the stretch of Recto shall turn left to T. Alonzo, right to Fugoso, left Andalucia to point of destination

Vehicles coming from Legarda shall turn right to Recto or left to Mendiola to their point of destination

Vehicles coming from Caloocan utilizing Rizal Avenue, shall turn right to Fugoso or CM Recto to point their of destination

Heavy vehicles or cargo trucks coming from the south shall take Pres. Osmeña, right to Pres. Quirino to Nagtahan via AH Lacson to Capulong (vice-versa) or to utilize stretch of Road-10 or Roxas Boulevard (vice-versa) to pint of destination
