A new segment 'Tawag ng Tanghalan' is truly a certified hit in the noontime show Its Showtime. On Thursday, a music teacher and a registered nurse from Davao City hailed as the new defending champion.

The 23 year-old Chrisel Joy Dela Cruz won against other aspirants with her own version of 'Killing Me Softly'.
